Sycamore Gap Dulcimer

Produced 3 miles from our shop in Hexham by local instrument maker Ian Duthie. These handmade Sycamore Gap Appalachian Mountain Dulcimers are beautifully crafted. Using sycamore from a storm damaged tree which was carefully quarter sawn and stored until it was ready to be turned into these fantastic instruments. Not only do they look great but they sound great too. This video clip is by Steve Gray who teaches dulcimer here at Core Music and lives in the same village as Ian.
